Dehradun : Due to low visibility, Akhilesh Yadav’s helicopter could not take off, forcing him to stay in Haridwar. The former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President was scheduled to attend an election rally in Mirapur.
His helicopter was unable to take off from Jolly Grant Airport due to poor visibility. After waiting for some time, he proceeded to Haridwar for an overnight stay. He is now expected to return on Tuesday.
On Monday, the SP President was to attend an election rally in Mirapur, Muzaffarnagar. However, due to fog in Ghaziabad, his helicopter couldn’t land there. Consequently, he arrived at Jolly Grant Airport and traveled to Mirapur by road to attend the rally.
By the time he was set to return, darkness had fallen, preventing the helicopter from flying. After waiting at the airport for some time, he left for Haridwar. SP’s state general secretary Atul Sharma informed that Akhilesh Yadav would return on Tuesday morning.
