Dehradun : Following strict orders from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, actions were taken against bars and pubs operating beyond permitted hours in Dehradun. A major crackdown was conducted on a popular beer bar by the district administration.
DM Savin Bansal Revokes License of Famous Bar in Dehradun
Last night, five teams from the district administration, led by the District Magistrate, conducted a raid on bars and pubs operating beyond designated hours. Starting from 11:00 p.m., five teams were dispatched from the DM’s camp office to different locations across the city. The DM himself, along with the Additional District Magistrate (Administration) and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, participated in the late-night raid, traveling in unmarked vehicles.
DM Stayed in Constant Contact with All Five Teams
During the operation, DM Savin Bansal stayed in contact with all five teams, continuously monitoring and guiding them. At 11:22 p.m., Bristol Bar near Kishannagar Chowk was found open. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate sealed the bar, took the keys into custody, and initiated action against the bar owner.
Case Filed for Serving Alcohol Late, License to be Revoked
Following this, DM Savin Bansal directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrates that if any bar or pub is found operating beyond 11:00 p.m., strict action, including penalties and legal measures for license revocation, should be taken.
