Chandrayaan-3 goes closer to 100 km lunar orbit, one step closer to separation
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced on Monday that a precise maneuver executed today resulted in a near-circular orbit of 150 km x 177 km for the Chandrayaan-3 satellite.
“The orbital circularization phase begins…The next mission is scheduled for August 16, 2023, at approximately 0830 hours IST,” according to the ISRO. Chandrayaan-3’s landing module will separate from the propulsion module after it reaches 100 kilometer orbit.
