Dehradun : Actor Vikrant Massey met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during which the CM announced that the film The Sabarmati Report would be made tax-free in the state.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with ministers and legislators, watched the film at a mall in Hathibarkala. The movie is based on the tragic incident of February 27, 2002, when the Sabarmati Express train was set on fire in Godhra. The Chief Minister announced that the film would be exempted from taxes in Uttarakhand.
Earlier, Vikrant Massey, the lead actor of The Sabarmati Report, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at his residence. Prominent personalities who attended the film screening included Cabinet Ministers Premchand Agarwal, Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Lok Sabha MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, and MLAs Khajan Das, Umesh Sharma Kau, Sahdev Singh Pundir, and Savita Kapoor.
