Uttarakhand Summer Session to Begin in August Session Will Be Challenging for the Government: Opposition

The opposition has started to show its stance regarding the summer session. The leader of the opposition, Yashpal Arya, criticized the government for keeping the session duration very short. He questioned how the state’s pressing issues could be addressed in such a short time, especially when the first day is for mourning, the second day is for reading the supplementary budget, and the third day is for discussing it. He demanded that the government extend the session’s duration. Arya mentioned that the opposition will sincerely challenge the government on various issues, including law and order, farmers’ and youth issues, and disaster management.

Arya also accused the government of ministers not being prepared to answer questions. He claimed that the government has remained silent on public issues and tries to create disruptions in the session to avoid opposition questions. By keeping the session duration to only three days, he said, this has been proven.
