Himalayan States Uttarakhand, Himachal Face Challenges To “Beat The Heat,” Dehradun Breaks Records.
As the northern plains and central regions of India grapple with an intense heatwave, the Himalayan states, including Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, are also facing unprecedented high temperatures this May. On Wednesday, Dehradun reported a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, which was seven degrees above the seasonal average, tying with the record for the highest temperature in May set back in 2012.
