The registration of pilgrims for the Char Dham Yatra will be subject to three-way verification, according to the officials.

A pilgrim’s registration will be confirmed by scanning the QR code with a smartphone after their passenger wristband and a copy of their physical registration are accepted as valid identification.

In the meantime, on Thursday, in preparation for the yearly pilgrimage, Uttarakhand Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar examined the Health ATMs set up at the sub-district hospital in Srinagar and the base hospital in Srikot.

During his inspection, Kumar provided the hospital administration with the necessary instructions to ensure the efficient operation of the health ATMs. He also requested that a technical person be stationed at these ATMs for the convenience of the Char Dham pilgrims.

Secretary of Health said, “I requested that the paramedical staff collaborate with the chief medical officer, Pauri, in order to plan travel and make all other necessary preparations. Hewlett Packard Enterprises has installed up to 50 health ATMs as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in a variety of medical facilities found along the Yatra route in the Garhwal division. There will be 70 free tests performed, including tests for dehydration, index, blood pressure, sugar level, body temperature, oxygen content, and body fat.”

“On the Yatra route, medical services are being improved, and more health ATMs will be installed soon. The health officer was also instructed to organise a team to walk the pilgrimage route in the Pauri district and conduct a thorough inspection of food items in numerous hotels, dhabas, and restaurants “said he.

The state government has made all necessary arrangements, according to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, to ensure a hassle-free and smooth Char Dham pilgrimage this year.

“The Char Dham Yatra has been fully prepared for. More than 12 lakh pilgrims have registered, and we’ve made all the necessary preparations to make sure everyone travels to the pilgrimage sites without incident “told ANI, Dhami.

Along with representatives from various departments, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) president Ajendra Ajay visited the temple on Sunday to inspect ongoing renovation work and go over pilgrims’ travel arrangements.

On April 25, the doors of Kedarnath Dham will be thrown open, and on April 27, those of Badrinath Dham.
