Sachin Tendulkar’s security guard shoots himself to death, investigations are ongoing

Investigations are being conducted to determine the acts of a security personnel who is believed to have shot himself to death as he worked for Sachin Tendulkar.

According to reports, a State Reserve Police Force jawan named Prakash Kapde shot himself to death in Jamner. Kapde had been charged with defending legendary former cricket player and Bharat Ratna laureate Sachin Tendulkar. Hindustan Times has received confirmation of the incident from sources close to Tendulkar; Kapde shot himself in the neck while visiting his hometown with a service gun. According to Kiran Shinde, the senior police inspector of Jamner, the incident happened at 1:30 am.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the reasons for his acts, as the incident’s purpose is yet unknown. A postmortem examination has been ordered for Kapde’s remains. As reported by Shinde, the circumstances surrounding the alleged suicide are being examined .

“As per initial inquiries, he may have chosen the drastic action owing to certain private reasons, but we are still waiting for all the details of the probe,” Mr. Shinde informed a news agency.

The Jamner Police have reported an accidental fatality. Further inquiries are under progress, encompassing conversations with his relatives, coworkers, and other associates.

At the age of 39, Kapde stayed with his elderly parents, his wife, two little kids, brother, and other relatives.

Considering that a jawan assigned to VVIP security was involved, the SRPF is anticipated to initiate a separate investigation into the incident.

Tendulkar is currently with MI

Sachin Tendulkar is currently associated with Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League; he was part of the dressing room during a few matches last month. He also provided Rohit Sharma with a special jersey when the latter reached 200 matches with Mumbai Indians.

Tendulkar’s son, Arjun, is also on the MI roster but has yet to play a match for the side this year. The franchise, led by Hardik Pandya, faced a disastrous season this year, becoming the first to get eliminated from the playoff race last week.
